A beautiful morning on the river for our Spring Club races. Firstly a big thank you to all those who helped out; rowers, scullers, coxswains and starters/umpires. And a special thanks to Mick Axton for sponsoring the whole event.
We had 5 races in all, two sculling finals over a course approximately 750m, and two heats of 4+ races leading to a 3 boat final. The fours were run over a 2000m course. Conditions were ideal, low tide and light wind. Only some wash from passing river craft caused any challenging conditions.

The biggest wash of the day was for the runners up in the fours final. Nothing quite like a load of cold thames water rushing down your back to keep you racing.
