Metropolitan Regatta

Mark Jaques had a successful weekend at the Metropolitan Regatta at Dorney Lake, Windsor.

Saturday

Senior Single Sculls:

Mark sculled brilliantly to comfortably win his heat by nearly 10 seconds. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be the same result in the final, the heat got to him and his legs “just had enough“.

Sunday

Elite Single Sculls:
Mark took an early lead through the first 500m to finish second in the heat, 2 seconds behind the winner. The 7 boat final was just after Mark’s Senior race (see below) and he finished 5th, beating the sculler who finished ahead of him in his heat.

Senior/Intermediate 1 Single Sculls
A combined Senior and Intermediate 1 race was Mark’s 3rd final of the weekend. He made a powerful start leading through 500m and 1000m, he finished in 3rd place winning the Senior race to cap an impressive weekends sculling. Well done Mark.
