Spring/Summer Beginners Course Ends

Twelve people took up our 10 week Beginners Course in the Spring and have now completed the course. The highlight of which was their first taste of club racing on Sunday. A lovely day with great conditions saw two heats of coxed fours racing approx 750m along the south shore of the Thames at Greenwich. Many thanks to Carol Kenna, Alan Mansfield and all those members who helped out with outings, tank and gym sessions, plus the capsize and swimming tests. All this made a very successful course. Photos of Sundays racing can be found on FlickR or Facebook.

Congratulations to all participants and well done to Vicky Adnitt (Bow), Rupert Tulloch (2), Arno Selbman (3), Ali Rana (stroke) and Richard Vidal (cox) for being the winning crew. A great day.

  1. I am sorry as the club President that I was unable to attend sundays beginners races but let me belatedly welcome you all to the Globe. I hope you will enjoy to the full all that Globe Rowing Club has to offer. My thanks to the senior members who give so much time to teach our newcomers.
    best regards to you all.
