    This is the web site of Globe Rowing Club, rowing from Greenwich since 1923. Based at the Trafalgar Rowing Centre close to the heart of historic Greenwich and only minutes from Cutty Sark DLR, Greenwich and Maze Hill train stations, Globe offers competitive as well as recreational rowing and sculling on an exciting and varied stretch of almost 9 miles of the River Thames from Tower Bridge to the Thames Barrier.

Beginners Course – Globe RC

Starting Saturday 24th April 2010 – 28th June 2010.
Running every Monday evening 7-8pm and Saturday 9am-10.30am

PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE IS NOW FULLY BOOKED

Cost £85. Payable at registration.

The course requires beginners to be already reasonably fit and is not a way of getting fit.

Registration and introduction to the Clubhouse, gym and boat-house will take place on Saturday April 24th meeting at the Trafalgar Rowing Centre.

Beginners will be taken through all basic rowing techniques using the tank, gym and water sessions; provided with a written introduction to rowing including notes for new rowers. Beginners will also be required to keep a logbook to assist their progress including a self-assessment and an final assessment of how they wish to progress following the course.

The course will finish up with a Beginners Race and end get together with Club members.

Club racing for all members of Globe RC, on low tide starting at 10am.
Friends and family welcome to come down, clubhouse will be open and refreshments served.
