Training Camps
Going the extra mile — annual training trips across the UK
Each year, Globe squads aim to get away for a training camp — a chance to train in beautiful locations, build crew bonds, and focus on rowing without the usual distractions of everyday life. From the Dorset coast to the lakes of the North, our camps are a highlight of the calendar.
Camps by Squad
Performance
Intensive training blocks focused on race preparation. Camps often take place at established rowing venues with excellent water and facilities, giving the squad concentrated, distraction-free training time ahead of major targets.
Competition
A chance for the competition squad to bond as crews, build fitness, and sharpen technique in a new environment. A great mix of hard work and team spirit.
Development
Development camps focus on accelerating skills in a fun, supportive setting. It's a brilliant opportunity for newer rowers to gain water time and confidence outside of regular sessions.
Junior
Junior training camps are carefully planned with safeguarding at the forefront. Camps combine on-water training with team-building activities, and all sessions are supervised by DBS-checked coaches and chaperones.
