Junior Squads
A safe, supportive environment for young rowers aged 12–17
Globe's junior programme gives young people the chance to discover rowing in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. From first strokes through to national-level competition, our qualified coaches help every junior find their potential — on and off the water.
Our Squads
Performance
Our most committed junior rowers, targeting national junior championships and major regattas with an intensive training programme.
Competition
Regular racing at junior regattas and head races. A structured programme that balances school commitments with competitive rowing.
Development
For juniors who have completed Learn to Row or are new to the club. Building technique, confidence, and teamwork on the water.
Safeguarding
The safety and welfare of our junior members is our highest priority. All coaches and volunteers working with juniors are DBS checked, and we follow British Rowing's safeguarding policies and procedures.
We have designated Welfare Officers and clear reporting processes in place. Parents and guardians are welcome to discuss any concerns at any time.
Our Safeguarding Policy →Where Juniors Row
Junior squads train across both of our locations, with coaching tailored to each venue's unique conditions.
